How I Spent Spring 2017 in JAPAN

I'm back at my favorite country! Spent three weeks in Japan visiting multiple cities:

Yokohama, Tokyo, Suwa, Matsumoto

Highlights of my trip:
-Coldplay concert in Tokyo Dome City
-family time at Matsumoto Castle
-Ramen Museum and Red Brick Building in Yokohama
-Ichiran Ramen, Yakitori Alley, and more pigout sessions in Tokyo w/ friends
-exploring Yokohama w/ my Japan-based friend, Cheny
-pre-birthday celebration in Disneyland
-sakura aka cherry blossoms everywhere!!!

It's one of my most relaxing and rewarding trips in Japan. I love travelling alone and visiting family and friends. It's really therapeutic!

Anyway, here's a short video of my trip:

My Tokyo Disneyland Adventure

A week after my visit at Tokyo Disney Sea with my friend and her family, our family decided to go to Tokyo Disneyland last April 15. It's actually my 2nd Disneyland experience, first of which was in Hong Kong.

Our first ride was the train which gave us a view of about half of Disneyland. Then we got a Fast Pass from the Big Thunder Mountain. It's such a fun and exciting ride!:)

 my cousins

 American Indians...that looked so real!

Lilo and Stitch

 steam ship

Haunted Mansion = an interesting ride :)

Since its Easter season, the parade of the Disney characters was themed Easter Wonderland. The performers were really good and some of them were Filipinos.

Since we didn't have much time, and there were really long queues, we skipped the Splash Mountain; but I took a photo of people on the ride. haha!

Then we had 3D experience, same show as that in Hong Kong. I wanted to skip the It's a Small World ride because it wasn't that thrilling, based on my Hong Kong Disneyland experience. However, my aunt insisted so I had no choice. It was smaller than that of Hong Kong's. So funny that my aunt fell asleep while on the boat.

 Mickey's PhilHarmonic Theater

 cute dolls :)

And while my cousins were riding the go-kart, I went by myself to the Space Mountain. It was crazy! I remembered riding it when my friends and I were in Hong Kong.

And of course, the traditional castle photo...

Then we tried Captain EO since there's no queue. But we were disappointed because it wasn't fun! My family members fell asleep inside the theater haha! The last part of our day in Disneyland was shopping.

And the last part of our day was shopping! We bought a lot of chocolates and cookies plus some souvenirs like shirts and keychains. It was a tiring day, yet we still had to drive back home for 3 hours.

 nice view at night

The Disney Resort is one of the reasons why I love Tokyo!:)

Awesome Hong Kong-Macau Weekend (Part 3)

So we went to the place which they say is the "happiest place on earth". What's Hong Kong if we wouldn't visit Disneyland? So, it was where we spent our second day. It was quite a wet day but we're still thankful that the rain didn't pour big time!

But before anything else, let's do the "outfit check"! Before leaving the condo, we assumed that it's gonna be cold in Disneyland. And again, we checked out our "not-prepared-at-all" luggage. Luckily, I was able to bring stockings to at least cover my legs while wearing shorts. Thanks again for the boots, but still, my cardigan was a FAIL! haha! Thank God my friends lent me a thicker scarf.

On our way to the train station, we passed by the Mango Outlet Store. Of course, we had to stop and buy some real thermal wear which we will use the following day. And yeah, we forgot that we'll be bringing those shopping bags all the way to Disneyland haha!:))

We took the Mickey Train from Sunny Bay Interchange to Disneyland Resort. We bought tickets, entered the gates, and took a lot of photos as we walked. Well the place was nice, but I found it a bit small, or maybe I was just expecting more. Actually, I regret that I didn't insist to go to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea Resorts when I was in Japan. I could feel that it's a lot bigger. Hopefully I can visit there next year.

We're actually excited to watch the shows, most especially the parade; so we noted all the show schedules and made sure that we won't waste any time. We had a couple of rides first: Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters, Autopia, and Space Mountain, , then we watched the parade of Disney characters. It's so fun! I loved the colorful floats, the Disney characters, and the entire experience!:)

 Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters

 Autopia

Space Mountain

 Disney Princesses

 Lilo and Stitch

Toy Story

The parade proceeded to a theater where all of the characters performed. It was called "The Golden Mickey Awards". There's a screen which featured English subtitles, which we're really thankful for. haha! Anyway, it was a nice show. It was good to see a lot of Filipino performers there, some of them used to be my schoolmates. Cool!:)

The beast changed into a handsome prince!

 tinker bell!

After the show, we had some snacks. Then we tried to watch the High School Musical but we didn't like it so we just proceeded to the other rides.

 Mickey's Philharmagic 3D!

tried taking a picture w/o the 3D glasses haha

 Tarzan'sTreehouse

Jungle River Cruise

And the first ride we took wherein we're all complete as a group was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh! haha! We were wondering why it got a long line. So we were seated in a huge honey jar and which toured us inside a series of rooms showcasing the adventures of Pooh! Wahaha we've been laughing about it after the ride!:)) Then we went to the huge lighted castle, "It's A Small World'. It was a boat ride inside a castle that's full of dolls representing different countries of the world. It was a tour of the 7 continents. The song "It's A Small World" was playing on the background and as we passed through different countries, the language kept changing according to the country we're in. It was so cool! We heard the Filipino version with the lyrics, "Kaliit lang ng mundo..." haha! And it featured dolls wearing the baro't saya in front of the bahay kubo. It was so nice!:)

 haha funny ride!

Philippines

Then we went to the Stitch Show, where I was spotted by Stitch and got really embarrassed for being a part of the show! haha! And finally, we got to witness the fireworks display at the Disney castle! It's stunning!:)

It's been a tiring yet fun day in Hong Kong Disneyland. After the fireworks show, we took a couple of shots on our way out. Awesome day it was!:)

Bye HK Disneyland...'til next time!:)
