10 Steps to be FAB on FEB!

In a matter of a few weeks, I'll be free! No more work which would stop me from doing what I want and from chasing my FA aspirations. haha! I want some changes now. New year, new me! Sorry for the delayed reaction. I know it's the second month of the year already but that won't stop me from pimpin' myself haha. I gotta be Fabulous this February!

10 Steps to be FAB on FEB:

Step 1: Lose the stress!
Oh I would love to go to the spa and get some full body massage!

Step 2: Lose the eyebags!
I should be asleep before the clock strikes midnight. So this means, I have to minimize my late-night gimmicks. haha! Therefore, I would party out once or twice a week only...and that's only during weekends! (fingers crossed haha)

Step 3: Lose the marks!
I'm hatin' my pimple marks that's why I got my self a small tube of Contractubex. It costs exactly P435 at 10ml! But it's okay 'coz I have witnessed how effective it was when my cousin used it 3 years ago to treat the scars all over her body caused by skin burn when she had a rare skin disease called Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis.

Step 4: Love the skin!
No more walking out in the sun without wearing sunscreen or using umbrella haha! Plus I must not be lazy to apply my day and night creams and to take my Glutathione capsules. And I have heard from a friend how effective the Ysa Chemical Peel is, so I think I'll give it a try. Good thing it's on Promo! P2500 for 5 sessions is not bad.=P You may visit their website: http://www.ysa.com.ph/

Step 5: Be more health conscious!
Time to stop skipping vitamins and start drinking plenty of water. I have to stay away from smoke and dust. Good thing I limited my gimmicks already haha. And whether I like it or not, I must do some exercise in the morning. Aim for flat abs! woohoo!=))

Step 6: Maintain proper posture!
Walk like a beauty queen. No more slouching more especially when using the computer.

Step 7: Get a new cut and color!
I'm already bored with my hair, which is dominantly black with a slightly visible color. So I requested my cousin from Japan who's going home next week to bring me one. I like using their hair colors there 'coz they don't damage my hair plus the color shines. For the haircut, that I still have to decide on. I wanna get a bob, but I don't think I can survive with really short hair haha! I think I'll just get some big curls or buy a better performing curling iron so I could curl my hair occasionally.

i think I can't do this! haha

I want curls!=)

Step 8: Closet Revamp!
I've got lots of clothes in my closet, which I haven't been using so I guess it's time to lose them and replace them with new ones.=) How about a garage sale? Oh my, it's hard to let go of my stuff. haha!

Step 9: Stay Closer to Him!
Regular Sunday masses and daily readings (which I downloaded to my Blackberry) should be a habit! I know that a strong faith in Him could take me really really far.

Step 10: Keep A Positive Attitude!
Say NO to negative vibes! A positive attitude can influence a lot of people. So from now on, I'll keep a positive attitude...more especially during my FA applications haha! I gotta keep my hopes up and believe that I would be successful in all my endeavors when the right time comes.=)

Please support.=)

This is an upcoming event of my college organization. I really hope I could come.=)
For students out there, you need to be pro-active, most especially with this issue.

It's February again, and the most awaited UP event is coming near....UP FAIR!!! I'm glad that our brods got a fair night again. So please support them by attending the Wednesday night of the UP Fair. =)

Awww I miss being a college student!!!

What Do They Have in Common?

Haha I just realized it now haha!=))

Is this kind of situation really prominent these days? Good thing I'm not a part of it haha.

A Perfect Saturday :)

This is indeed one of my happiest Saturdays ever! :)

Woke up at 7am and had breakfast and kulitan with the people at home.

I had my P&G exam in Makati; and fortunately, I passed!

sorry, it was harassed inside my bag haha =P

Then my bestfriend and I went to Trinoma for our tradition. What tradition? Well, we are obliged to treat each other out every time we get our first salary from our new job. Haha! It's her third time already since it's her third job. But since I'm about to leave my current job already, I think she's getting a treat from me again haha!=))

Late lunch at Holy Cow. Food was yummy!=)

 Grilled Beef Brochette

Watched "Paano na Kaya?" haha! We're not fans ok? We're just curious. hahaha! Well, the movie's nice anyway.=P

Had yogurts at Red Mango. Yummy!

   Blueberries!

We can't find nice flats, so we decided to  get clothes instead. Good thing Maldita was on sale!=) We both got dresses originally worth P1099 and P1200 but were already on 50% off haha!

On my way home I realized that one of my favorite local RNB bands will be playing at Taboo Room by night. So I texted some friends and invited them to come with me, and they agreed! yey!

So, while waiting for my cellphones' batteries to get charged up, my college friend texted me that they're in our college event somewhere in Kalayaan, QC. Then I realized that I promised my other college friends that I'll be attending that party too. So I hurriedly left the house to go to the party.

Outrage 2010. It's where I got ultimately drunk last year. And this time, even if unlimited booze were still available, I didn't drink much 'coz I've got some friends waiting for me in Ortigas. haha! But I enjoyed the party a lot after seeing a lot of people I missed.=)

orgmates and our applicants
Thursday Club reunited!=)

While I was tipsy, I took a cab to Ortigas Home Depot to watch K24/7 at Taboo Room.=) I texted the Magic 7, but only 6 of us were able to come. Well to think that it's unplanned, it's really great that we're closer to being complete haha. I think the first and only photo that we're all complete was that of our New Year Champagne Party haha!

K24/7!!!
 Magic 7 (minus 1) =p
 huge Red Horse at the Muziklaban

Then we went to Musicmatch, just right beside Taboo. They sang the karaoke while I slept. hahaha! =)) I was home by 4am.

Confused? Don't Stop Believin'.=)

Until now, I haven't decided about what I really want to do.

I am not happy with my current job anymore so I'll be leaving the company soon. Right now, I'm just serving my 30-day turnover, so I'll be with the company until the 27th of February only.

Talking about the 27th of February, well that's the QR OD in Diamond Hotel. So I think I won't serve my last day at work anymore so I could attend the QR OD. hehe.=P I better have new photos ready by then.

But I still have a dilemma. I don't know if I'll be applying to another full time job while chasing a cabin crew position on the side. Well I wanna take a break first. I got too tired and stressed from work so I think I deserve some rest. But I'm also considering getting a part time job instead. Uhm, maybe doing online jobs such as writing and tutorials, or accepting research work, or doing modeling stints again, or just grab any "rakets" that come my way. Oh my, I'm so confused! I need to make money or else I'll be useless haha! Plus, I really want to pursue with my Masters, so I need to save up for it. Too bad, today's the deadline for application to the Masters of Public Management at the UP Open University, and I wasn't able to make it. I prefer to take it there 'coz there, I only needed to go to school during exams. Everything else happens online, so it's very ideal when I'll be working full time. But since I didn't make it to the deadline, I think I'm postponing that for next year.

Another option is putting up a business. But what business? Hmm and I just wish my parents could give me a capital. But I don't think they trust me much that I could grow a small business into a big one. So I think it will be better to do a business which involves a small capital only, which I could earn alone, and get some business partners who could contribute to the capital and to the business as a whole. My coffee shop plans won't be feasible now. I think I'll consider event productions and fashion retail instead.

If all else fails, I still have a backup plan haha. I decided to push through with my 2nd exam at P&G, which was originally scheduled last December. Good thing they allowed me to take the exam yesterday. Luckily, I passed! What's next is not to mess up with the interviews (which I'll found out when after they have emailed me on the Feb.6). It's been one of my dream multinational companies to work at. So I'm really keeping my fingers crossed.=)

Oh gosh, I'm really confused now. There are so many things running in my head and I just can't run away from them. I hope that everything will fall into place in the coming days.

But thanks to this inspiring song from Glee...I'm being positive! =)

So now I'm telling myself...DON'T STOP BELIEVIN'!!!

This is Why I Love CEBU...

The first day of my first time ever Cebu visit was already elaborated in my previous post. Now let's get down to the other activities I did while I was there.

Of course I wouldn't try Skywalking and riding the Edge Coaster at Crowne Plaza 'coz I've got fear of heights haha! I think, 80% of the things I did in Cebu was EATING!!!! hahaha!=))

Being a city girl, I can't live away from the city for a very long time. I really like Cebu City 'coz it just looks and feels like Manila. haha!=))  From malls to the streets, to its hangout places...it doesn't really look far from Manila. I'm not talking about all that's positive here ok? Because just like Manila, they also got cab drivers who were acting as if they're driving a Golden Taxi haha.=)) I think I spent more than a thousand bucks in taxi rides (even if most of my cab rides were shared with friends).

My favorite mall now is The Terraces, an Ayala Mall in Cebu. Yes I like it more than Mall of Asia and other Ayala Malls here in Manila. It's like a fusion of Trinoma, Glorietta, Greenbelt, Mall of Asia, and Alabang Town Center. haha!

inside the mall

garden outside

Every single day of my 3-day stay there, I never failed to go to this mall. haha! It's where I had really good lunches! First was at the food court (i forgot the name of the stall) where I have tasted yummy Bopis and Kinilaw. My meal costed me less than a hundred bucks.

Next day's lunch was at Hukad, which means "hain". We ordered Bicol Express, Grilled Pusit, and Sinigang na Hipon. The best part: UNLIMITED RICE!=)) The place looked posh but actually, it's very affordable. It only costed us P554, and we were three who shared.

The third lunch I had there was at Casa Verde. It actually had a main branch but we only tried the one at the mall. It's known for its sumptuous yet very affordable Ribs and Steak. Imagine, Bryan's Ribs only costs P188 and The Dax (Steak) only costs P250 when each serving is good for two already. It was actually the longest longest lunch I ever had haha! Oh yeah, overeating at its best haha!=))

I also had good finds for dinner. First night's dinner was at Manila Foodshoppe, which looked like North Park. Three of us shared in a single order of Buttered Chicken (12pcs) which costs P115. Really affordable.

black vinegar

For the second night's dinner, a friend of mine from Manila who moved in to Cebu brought us to a place of Ihaw-Ihaw called Larshan. It had a series of stalls of grilled meats and fishes. What's very unique about this place was people eating using their hands wrapped in plastic. But in my case, since I found it hard to eat using hands wrapped in plastic and since I am eco-friendly, I just used my bare hands to eat. Another must-try there was their rice called "puso". It's actually rice cooked inside a woven pouch made from young coconut leaves. Each "puso" costs around P2.50 or P3.00. We were served a basket of "puso" wherein we could get as much as we want to. They wouldn't lose count of how much "puso" we've eaten 'coz they already knew how many pieces they put in the basket they served us. To open it, just find the sliced part and pull the wrapper away. Not to mention, I had 5 servings of "puso" hahaha!=))

this is how you do it!=))

models are over-eaters haha!=))

For the third night, we just had late dinner and a few drinks at Pier One in Park Mall.

shrimp sinigang and baked oysters

my favorite: weng-weng!=P

We actually did a lot of hanging out there. We bought some stuff at Robinson's Place, (I didn't like the place actually), we had coffee and wifi at Gloria Jeans  along Escario St. (looks like Buendia hehe), strolled around Terraces and Park Mall. We saw SM City Cebu but we've never been there haha. We didn't go to Magellan's Cross and Plantation Bay 'coz my friend has already been there before. But I was glad to have heard an English Mass at a church there, which I dunno the name.=p

billiards at Pipeline

Of course we wouldn't leave Cebu without buying Danggit, so we went to Tabo-an Dried Fish Market where I bought Danggit, Dilis, and Dried Mangoes.

Just for the sake of taking photos at the beach, we went to Maribago in Mactan Island where there were a lot of beach resorts. Actually, the original plan was to go to Bantayan Island, but we didn't have much time to take a 4-hour travel just to get there. And so we ended up at Maribago White Sands Resort, even if it costed us P500 just to get there.  Yeah I knew that the cab driver's overcharging but we didn't have a choice 'coz were in a hurry trying to catch the sunset. Day swim there costs P500 (P300 for swimming and P200 consumable food & drinks). Swimming time was until 6pm, but for in-house guests, they can swim 'til 9pm at the pool. It's already 5pm when we got there so we begged that they allow us to swim 'til 9pm too. And fortunately, they agreed! haha! Unfortunately, it rained!!! It's too cold to swim so we never attempted to haha! We just took a lot of photos to compensate haha!=P

So that's my super unplanned visit to Cebu in a nutshell. Three days was quite short. There were a lot of places there which I haven't visited yet so I think I really need to go back! haha! Next time, I'll stay longer. I hope my pocket would be cooperative by then haha!=))

Whatever It Takes...

...We'll keep trying!=)

That's the spirit! If you really want something, you gotta do everything to make it happen. In our case, it took us a plane ticket, a hotel accommodation and a little pocket money to move a bit closer to something we really want.

I am not actually referring to this as a dream because until now, I'm not really sure about what I really want in my career, or should I say, in my life? haha.=P But I think for those who were with me, what we're talking about is really a dream.

If only I didn't want a break from work, I wouldn't fly to Cebu. It was really unplanned. I just invited a friend to come with me and the moment she agreed, I immediately booked a ticket. I booked last Jan.19 for a roundtrip ticket (Cebu Pacific) dated Jan.23 (9:35pm) to Jan 27 (4:50am). I also announced to our forum in PEX that I'll be going to Cebu, that's why I got to join my fellow PEXers there.

It's actually my first time in Cebu and I almost missed the plane! I arrived at exactly 9am at the airport!!! Thanks to the help of the cab driver that it took us only 40 minutes from Marcos Highway to NAIA 3 haha! IF I came 5 minutes after 9, I think I wouldn't be allowed to board the plane anymore. It's the last trip to Cebu that day so I was really lucky to catch the plane before it's gone haha!=))

I stayed at Capitol Tourist Inn with my fellow PEXers. Though we're not all together in one room. One stayed somewhere else, while my friend who's originally with me stayed with her friend at another hotel since she's from a different flight.

We arrived at 9am at Marriott Hotel and there were already about a hundred girls in the room. The CV submission started after a few minutes. There were 3 QR representatives: one was a Chinese lady, one was a hot British guy (haha), and the other was Laura, the Argentinian lady whom I've met in Manila last Aug.'09 during the QR Assessment Day. There were also a lot of pretty girls from Cebu, Davao, Manila, and other nearby regions.

When it was my turn, Laura admired my suit in the photo, as well as the photo itself. She asked if I had it taken in Cebu, but I said it's from Manila. Well maybe it's just her way of finding out where I was really from. haha. She asked if it's my first time to apply in QR, but I said it was my 2nd time and that I've already met her during the Assessment Day. She asked what we did there so I answered that we had group discussions. I think she's verifying if I was really there haha.

After me and my fellow PEXers were done. We had some pictorials outside the hall. haha. Only two among our group got a magic call, which meant that they're in for the Assessment the next day. However, they didn't manage to reach the final interview. But it's okay, we'll keep trying anyway. The most important part of our trip was spending the weekend together in Cebu, wherein we got to know each other even more, and we simply had fun!=) [I hope it shows in the photos haha]

Not to mention, I had 5 servings of "puso" hahaha!=))

this is how you do it!=))

models are over-eaters haha!=))

For the third night, we just had late dinner and a few drinks at Pier One in Park Mall.

shrimp sinigang and baked oysters

my favorite: weng-weng!=P

Whatever It Takes...

...We'll keep trying!=)
