A Day in Heidi's Village

Last June 2, we visited Heidi's Village in Sutama. It was inspired by the Japanese anime "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" back in 1974, which I was able to watch on TV when I was in my early grade school days.

The place is a huge garden, and it's being used a wedding place too. The best time to be there is during the start of spring, when there are lots of tulips. When we got there, most of the flowers were already withered. The garden was in transformation because they were replacing the withered flowers with new ones. Some roses we saw were still buds about to bloom soon. Here are some of our photos:

The ANIMAL PRINT Craze!

I really love animal print!


Back in the P.I., I used to wear animal-printed sheer tops on a night out.

And when I got here in Japan, I wore animal-printed pajamas...

I bought animal-printed wedges and wedge sneakers...

And just earlier tonight, my cousin and I did a colorful animal print nail art! She did my right hand while I did my left. I think mine looked more animalistic...wild! haha!:))

And it doesn't end there 'coz I'm still deciding whether to buy any of these cute Kitson Mini Duffel Bags, which are on SALE, from 12,000 yen to 4,000 yen! 

Or maybe this Le Sport Sac x Joy Rich Weekender Bag which is on 50% Off, from 22,890 yen to 11,440 yen! OMG! Super fighting the urge of spending!  I better buy the one that I could use more often, and I think that's the weekender bag since I go on domestic weekend trips more often than I hit the gym or the track.

Let's see what happens next haha!:))

The Love for PINK!:)

Since I was a kid, I've been a Hello Kitty fan. Maybe it's one of the reasons why PINK became my favorite color. And look what I've got from Harajuku last week:

Last Sunday, we attended a birthday party of a 2-year old boy in Matsumoto. To look a bit younger, I decided to go PINK casual :)

The wedges I was wearing was my first ever online purchase from rakuten.com. This pair just cost me around 2,500 yen but the shipping fee was an extra 1,500 yen.

Born this Way Ball in Manila

I would like to thank Smart Communications Inc. for my free Mosh Pit Tickets in Lady Gaga's "Born This Way Ball" concert at SM Mall of Asia, Manila last May 21 and May 22.

Unfortunately I missed the concert 'cause I'm still here in Japan. So I gave my 2 concert tickets to my BFF. I'm glad that she enjoyed the concert, based on what she shared over FaceTime.

Lady Gaga also brought the "Born This Way Ball" in Japan. She had a 3-night concert last May 10, 12, and 13 at the Saitama Super Arena. However, since I wasn't much of a follower, I didn't know about it. But I guess, even if I had known earlier that she's coming here, I still would've missed it 'coz I'd rather keep the money than buy expensive concert tickets. Then I realized, only in the Philippines I can watch concerts for free! Haha! Thanks to my friends and other connections. And because of that, I miss the PI!:))

Fashion Files: Mullet Dresses for Spring 2012

So it's Spring time here in Japan! Wondering what's fab to wear during this season?

My cousin and I have lately developed the love for mullet dresses. Through our weekly shopping activities, we've been seeing a lot of mullet dresses with floral prints, and we found them very ideal for spring. I took a photo of the mullet dresses we have. However, I didn't have much time to dress up and shoot so I just did it inside the house with the help of my grandma as my photographer haha! Please excuse the poor quality of the photos 'coz I'm just using my Sony Cybershot TX5.

Ring of Fire: Solar Eclipse As Seen from Japan

Last Monday morning, I woke up at 7am to view the Annular Solar Eclipse, which happened for the first time in 25 years here in Japan. While viewing it happen from our veranda, we were also watching it on TV.

It's the best solar eclipse I've ever seen! The moon didn't cover the entire disc of the sun which made a "ring of fire" visible. The surroundings turned partially dark. From our place, in Suwa City, Nagano, the moon was slowly covering the sun from 7am to 7:30am. But from 7:30am to 7:35pm, the ring of fire was seen, and the moon quickly left the perfect ring shape as it went down to uncover. I felt so lucky to have seen it!

Since I wasn't equipped with perfect gadgets to capture the actual view, I just took a photo of what's being shown on TV. It's a one of a kind experience!:)
