Salon Sunday

I know, this must should've come first than my previous post. haha! Sorry, just wanna do some sharing...=)

My best friend and I went all the way from Bulacan and Marikina to Sangandaan in Novaliches to visit this salon recommended to me by an officemate. It's a new salon so it has great promos that would attract loyal customers.

The salon was named Heaven's. Color scheme: Pink and Green. It has lots of employees and services...oh, and customers! It looked like a chill spot outside 'coz it has tables & chairs under umbrellas outside plus loud music is being played.
NOW, YOU GOTTA BELIEVE THIS:

"Super Rebonding Package"

inclusive of:

Hair Rebonding
Hair Reborn
Protein Treatment
Keratin Treatment
Power Dose
Cellophane (Permanent)
Haircut
Eyebrows Shaving
Foot Spa

And the whole process took us 8 hours!!!! hahaha!=)) But it's worth the long wait.=)

The Week Started Right!

So it was Monday....BUT who would have thought that it would end right?!?:)

My officemate who was on a different department called me up at my desk and invited me to hangout after work to try the several brands of imported beer at Distillery in Jupiter St. So I tagged along my friends to make the night even more exciting. haha!

1st stop: Dinner at Som's Noodle House. It was my first time! I loved the food and the milk tea. Hehe. In fact, I was the only one in our group who ordered extra cup of rice!:))

photo grabbed from ivee.tabulas.com

I never thought a food stall like this would be found right outside the gates of Rockwell (Kalayaan Ave. side).

The best part of the night: The Distillery!

Lots of imported beer! I was able to sip a bit from the bottles of my companions, just to give me an idea of how those beers tasted hehe. But I influenced them to order a large bottle of Absolut Mandarin Vodka. haha! Really cheap. It only cost P800. However, they don't actually serve a bottle of Sprite...only flasks of it which cost P50. haha! Yeah, looked like we're doing a Science experiment on our table haha!

I think I have to mention that we had to walk a very far distance just to withdraw from the ATM. 'coz Distillery is not yet accepting debit and credit cards.

Anyway, I am officially tagging The Distillery as my favorite chill spot now. Besides the very relaxing ambiance, it also has a very nice crowd...plus no smoking inside! yey! My favorite part, an acoustic band starts to play a few minutes before midnight. They also encourage guests to jam with them through an open mic. They play the song while you sing or you can use your Ipod 'coz they have this device that converts your Ipod music into a minus one! Now, that's an instant karaoke! hahaha!=)) Oh, and jammers get a free tequila shot after singing with the band. Cool!

But the place is kinda small so it's hard to find seats if you'll come late. Also, there's no available food there....just purely alcohol. However, their staff still assist you when you wanna order food from the Portuguese resto beside it (but only while that resto is open).
Perfect Monday night!=)

I just love attending events, but only if I have free time. hehe

So PLDT just launched their new innovation in DSL...PLDT Watchpad. I got invited by my bestfriend who got invited by her future boss (yeah, future 'coz she's about to move work) in this sort of exclusive launch at Magnet Cafe in Bonifacio High Street last Oct. 15. We came super late 'coz of heavy traffic in Magallanes. Well, I can't try the watchpad 'coz i'm not using PLDT DSL but I think, I am willing to shift from Smartbro hehe.

Dinner at Abe in Serendra. Yummy Kapampangan food.

Then off to Ascend for the FABRIC fashion show. Congrats to Kaye, Gabbie, Camille and Nicee. I just love your dresses!=)

on taking risks...

How will you know if a risk is worth taking?

I just hate making choices, most especially if these choices involve a lot of risks.

There are some risks worth taking, while some risks are not. I have taken a lot of risks already. And I hate that the most recent risk I took only did me the worst! I lost and suffered a lot. This has been the most regretful action I have ever done in my whole life.

Now I'm much more regretful for not taking a risk, which could do me better. All my life I have been very much careful in taking risks because I don't wanna regret my actions. But now, I am very regretful for not taking this risk that had a chance to bring me the best. What's worst was, I chose another risk instead that just made me worst off.

OMG! I dunno what to do. I am really lost right now. I feel so sad and shameful that I wanna escape the people around me, as well as the reality. I wish I could turn back time.

Or...should I wish to be a different person instead?

Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010

Happening on the last week of October...

Got a few guestlist. Yeah, really few as compared to those I've got from the PFW Holiday '09 last May. Gosh, I've been too busy with work that I almost missed PFW! Imagine, the guestlists of the designers have closed as early as Sept. 23, and I didn;t know where I was during those times! huhu.

Hopefully, I'll be confirmed on the two guestlists I have tried enlisting to. I can't miss PFW! Besides the fabulous clothes & people, I love watching PFW with my friends. Indeed a perfect girl bonding!=)

my 1st online purchase

It was my first time to buy something online. I wanted to buy a bag so i searched at ebay.ph. I saw a Mango striped sling bag (new w/ tag) worth Php 400 only so I started to watch the item. Other sellers were also offering almost the same style but in a different color. But I liked the one with a white strap and a buckle & studs at the center so I chose to purchase on that particular seller instead. Just to be sure, I didn't bid online anymore. I texted the seller the next day after I've seen the bag online. I asked why she's selling the item for a low cost, then she answered that she bought it wholesale from Singapore. So there, after proving that the item was really authentic, I decided to buy it. Then she asked me what bag was I talking about, so I said it's the mango striped sling bag. She gave me her GCash info so I sent her money the next day. After another day, the item arrived, but I was able to open it only the day after that 'coz I wasn't i the office when it was delivered.

The bag looked nice and I felt happy about it, however it somehow felt weird . I just didn't know why. The night of that same day I used the bag at a party. After two days, I decided to check my ebay. Then I saw there that the original photo of the bag I chose was a bit different from the bag that was delivered to me.

So I figured it out! The bag I checked online had a white piping instead of brown. Its straps were also white (bothe long & short straps). I remembered choosing that because I planned to match it to the outfit I was supposed to wear in an upcoming party. Also, in my original choice, the white stripe was at the center and it had studs lined down on that surface and it also had a different lock, the one with a buckle.

In fairness to the seller, she's very accommodating and fast with the transaction. So I texted her about my concern. She told me that the white-strapped one was out of stock that's why she indicated in her item post that it was "brown" (inside a parenthesis). And that I think I didn't notice. Regardless of that, she still used a different photo for a certain item, and she didn't mention that during the time that I was inquiring to her via text. Then she told me that the original item posted was already out of stock. Oh my.

Now, I have mixed emotions. I'm happy that I got a new bag for a very reasonable price; yet I feel kinda disappointed 'coz it's not exactly the item I wanted.

Bottomline: Maybe, my money was still worth it. It's not expensive and it's nice. It's still fabulous anyway.=)

Impulsive Makeup Purchase =))

The original plan was to buy a concealer...
But...Oh my!

Went to Watson's Gateway to get the cheapest concealer possible. Well, I wanna get something cheap 'coz I have 'soon-to-arrive" Estee Lauder makeups from my Aunt who works in EL, and I wasn't sure what were the items she'll be sending me.

So I checked out Maybelline, but the saleslady offered me a liquid concealer, but I insisted that I want a cream concealer stick. So she introduced me to the saleslady of Revlon. The new saleslady let me tried the concealer stick, but when I told her that I'll be using it on some of my blemishes, she offered me a liquid one. It contains salisic acid that helps a pimple heal too. I found it as a good feature because other makeups only irritate pimples further. Then the saleslady said that if I'll buy two items, I'll get 20% off each item. Oh my, I got tempted so I thought about getting a blush. The saleslady applied everything on my face, from concealer to lipstick, to help me decide on what other item I would buy. So it looked like a had a makeover! hahaha!=)) I chose the blush-on 'coz it also has a bronzer. But the greatest dilemma I had that time was choosing between a Peach and a Nude Blush-on. haha! Well they kinda looked the same but I ended up buying the Peach one.

I didn't withdraw much cash from the ATM so I just used my credit card. Each item's original price was P725, which I got for only P680 each...two items for P1160. Well not bad, at least I didn't spend cash haha! Credit card bill comes at the end of the month anyway.=P

PS. Oh my, I think I would have to come back to buy the super nice nude & glossy lipstick that the saleslady applied on me. It's indeed a long wear lipstick!

Ondoy: a painful memory

so many properties damaged...
so many lives lost...
so much pain in and out...

why does this kind of tragedy need to happen?
why us?
do we really deserve this?

I think this has been a wake-up call to all of us. We've been so sinful. We've abused our environment and we've taken God's gifts for granted. We just owe everything from Him so He has the right to take them away from us whenever He wants. Instead of getting mad, let's just take this disaster positively by considering it a learning experience. Yes, sometimes we just have to learn things the hard way.

But what I am thankful about this incident is getting to know my fellow Filipinos better. We are indeed a happy nation. Despite all the sufferings, we still manage to smile. Also, the spirit of "bayanihan" has been proven alive! Everybody's helping the victims, and no one is being apathetic. It's really heart-warming to see the Filipinos helping each other, from saving/rescuing the stranded to distributing donations.

I am so proud to be Pinoy!:)

-view from our 2nd flr-
(I was stranded at the office overnight but this was what i saw as i arrived home. I live right between San Mateo and Marikina so we also got affected. Flood water was chest-deep inside and neck-deep outside. I'm thankful that my family's safe now.)

*To all my friends who lost their homes in Provident, and those who got a lot of their properties damaged, don't give up. this is just a challenge. keep praying and be hopeful. my prayers are with you. Same goes with the other victims of Ondoy.

I got it from Glorietta, but I think I should've gone to Rockwell and Greenbelt branches first haha! But hello, No. 1: In the name of fashion, thou shall not regret buying something fabulous! hahaha!=))

*Late late post. :p

This is what i saw when i opened my Multiply site about 4 days ago. It's my hit counter. Well it's not actually that reliable since it also counts every time I refresh my site. Haha! But I didn't manipulate these figures. This was during my first Multiply check on that day.
