This is a late post. I just wanna share one of my best Boracay trips ever!:)
It's been my habit to go to Boracay at least twice a year. One during Summer and one during the Bonifacio Day weekend (last few days of November to first few days of December. So last year, I was there from Dec. 2-5 with 3 other single girl friends. It's another "sulit" trip, wherein of course I was again tasked to do the "budget" and be the "moneykeeper" the entire trip.
As usual, mornings were spent sleeping, sunset was for swimming, early night was for dinner and Cinema One marathon in the hotel, and late night was spent partying.:) Haha that's the usual routine we have everytime we go to Boracay. It's really a great stress reliever from work.
Getting to Bora was such an obstacle for us. We missed our plane so we had to rebook which cost us around P1500 each but thank God we still had travel funds in Cebu Pacific which we used so we only paid around P500. It was a long wait at the airport for the next plane plus we flew to Kalibo so we when the sun set, we were still on the road to Caticlan. It was our first time to ride a boat at night!
So we stayed at Island Nook (owned by a friend) where we paid around 1800 each night for the room (good for 4 pax). After a bit of rest, we had dinner and fruit shakes at Jonah's. Then that started our fun weekend...
Arrival - Night 1 (Dec. 2, Thursday)
dinner at Jonah's
drinks at Juice Bar
got hooked w/ the hookah
*FUNNY FACT: The hookah brought a lot of guys to our table 'coz they were using it for their pick-up lines haha!
Day 2 (Dec. 3, Friday)
Island Nook isn't just a boutique hotel but also a kebab place
walk at the beach
met two new friends from night 1 so we decided to hangout
dinner at Big Mouth
Flavored Mojitos at Club Paraw (then off to Summer Place)
look who's at Juice Bar, it's Maverick!
*FUNNY FACT: There were really few Filipino tourists at that time that people thought Thina and I were Koreans! She was even served spaghetti with chopsticks in Big Mouth. LOL!:))
Day 3 (Dec. 3, Saturday)
brunch at Jasper's (I love this place of home-cooked meals)
cheap but good food (soup for hangover haha)
one of my faves: chocolate shake from Paraiso Bar
photoshoot series by the beach haha
the "photo-before-leaving-the-hotel" habit (then off to the Sunset party at Whitehouse)
last night in the island means seafood buffet dinner!!!
A must for every night: Hookah at Juice Bar LOL!
and our last night was spent mostly for alcohol haha!
We went to Summer Place w/ our new-found Singaporean friends (which had no photos 'coz I was already kinda drunk that time), and we had breakfast somewhere I couldn't actually remember LOL.
*FUNNY FACT: We've changed our names the whole time we were there! haha!:))
Day 4 (Dec. 5, Sunday)
Went home at around 4-5am then woke up at 7am 'coz we had to travel to Kalibo to catch our afternoon flight. But of course, one photo before leaving!:p
It has been such an awesome trip! Finally, my girl friends realized the perks of going to Boracay as an all-girl group. haha! We met a lot of new friends (who in fact were still keeping in touch 'til now), we got a lot of free shots/drinks from kind people, we kinda escaped our stressful work environments, and we've made a lot of nice photos! Look at what I've got...
sorry for the "conservative" attire LOL!
And now that it's summer of 2011, I shall be back to Boracay again!:) Will be there on the third weekend of May for work but I will make sure that it's gonna be as fun!:)
I know this post was a little bit old but I just stumbled on it and I love reading your post and your pics. Great blog! :-)
